Information For Parents

Down’s Syndrome North East (DSNE) have Parent Champions who are here to help and support you. Parent Champions can share with you what support is available locally and nationally for children with Down’s syndrome, and from their own experiences, are able to offer advice and guidance on accessing appropriate services and support.

Baby Gift Box Project

Down’s Syndrome North East are proud to introduce our baby gift box project. This was an initiative set up to ensure that all expectant and new parents who identify that their baby has a diagnosis of Down’s syndrome where donated a baby gift box box. The box provides welcome gifts along with a range of information, resources and books that provide crucial information to ensure expectant and new parents start their journey right. The baby gift boxes have gradually being delivered to many of our maternity units where these can be provided when accessing this service.

If you would like to be provided with a baby gift box you can do this by getting in touch!
